Titanium Grade 9, also known as Ti 3-2.5, is distinguished by its specific composition of titanium alloyed with approximately 3% aluminum and 2.5% vanadium. This carefully balanced recipe gives the material a remarkable set of mechanical properties. It offers excellent strength, similar to Grade 5 titanium, but with superior weldability and formability. Furthermore, it maintains outstanding corrosion resistance, even in saltwater and chlorinated environments. Its excellent ductility also makes it easier to fabricate into complex components compared to other high-strength titanium alloys.
