OHNS (Oil Hardening Non-Shrinking) round bars typically have a chemical composition of 0.85-1.00% carbon, 1.00-1.20% manganese, 0.15-0.35% silicon, 0.50-0.70% chromium, and 0.50-0.70% tungsten, with phosphorus and sulfur each limited to a maximum of 0.030%. These bars exhibit outstanding durability, wear resistance, and high hardness, reaching up to 65 HRC after quenching, with a maximum hardness of 230 HB in the annealed state. The OHNS steel’s combination of deep hardening qualities and dimensional stability ensures mechanical reliability under stress and is widely valued for its toughness and ability to retain a sharp cutting edge.
